That is cool. There is a vaccine to use on chickens that reduces incidencd in the broiler chicks, yet it's not considered cost-effective. The chicks that are to become breeder hens are immunized, and the reduction is seen in the broiler chicks that they produce. It's interesting, but until farms decide that it is cost effective, it won't catch on. aem.asm.org/content/76/23/7820.full
