We used it to stain histology sections for lipids. It's not good stuff. You would think that people would be wary of palm oil that is red.

Thanks Martha... when I was reading that I knew Sudan IV was something I had used but I couldn't remember from where... it was Bio class lol!

When we used to do milk testing we used to have a preservative in the pot for the Brucellosis test which was banned!
